One of the jewels in the Chivas crown, Royal Salute was created to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. This 21 Year Old is a robust and sophisticated whisky, with fruity aromas and delicate floral spices. It is presented in a unique flagon, painted with a sapphire glaze reminiscent of the gems set within the Imperial State Crown.

It is a great sorrow that eventually tipping the bottle no longer produces this nectar. Oh well, after the green bottle, there is always the red and blue!

This is the best blended scotch I have tasted to date. Light on the palate with the full flavor developing in the finish.As a single malt fan I have scoffed at blends, but this one has changed my opinion a bit.Cheers!

I did not uncover its taste yet. I boughtit about 20 years ago and still wonder if it is time to open it, or to keep it for my grandsons to taste it
