Mezcal

An artisanal mezcal from small-scale distiller El Destilado, made with Coyote agave and distilled in small batches using traditional methods.

Named for the masked Mexican wrestlers, Enmascadero is a traditionally made Mezcal, produced from espadin agave baked in earth ovens and pot distilled. This 45% version is diluted before bottling, unlike the punchier 54.2% edition, giving it a rather more vegetal flavour mingled in with woody smoke.

A fruity, smoky mezcal made with hand-selected Espadin agave from the hillsides of Oaxaca, that offers notes of crunchy apples, mango, spicy oak, soft smoke and hints of sapote - a locally-grown fruit with a distinctive sweet flavour.

Rich and smoky copper pot distilled Mezcal from Oxaca. Siete Misterios has bottled traditionally made Mezcal from across Mexico since 2010. This is a great example of the quality the label is known for – oily and thick with barbecued agave on the nose that gives way to citrus oil and fresh herbs on the palate.

An artisanal mezcal from third-generation producer Maestro Francisso Ortiz, made with sustainably farmed Espadin agave from San Luis del Rio. This agave is cooked over 10 days using local oak wood to create a soft, smoky flavour that mingles with notes of dried apricot, plum, toasted pineapple and black tea on the palate.

A 100% Tepextate (aka agave Marmorata) Mezcal from Del Maguey. The agave grows at high altitude and produces a lighter bodied, sweet and floral style of Mezcal.

Aromas of citrus, flowers and peanuts are followed by orange peel, fresh fruit, chamomile, mineral and honey notes on the tongue. Bruxo X Mezcal is made from a blend of 80% espadin agave spirit and 20% barril agave spirit. The name Bruxo is derived from the word Brujo, which means shaman, but is spelled with an x to reflect the pronunciation of Oaxaca, where Bruxo is based.

A small-batch mezcal from Neta, made by Candido Garcia Cruz in 2020 using 100% Espadin agave. Candido uses quiotudo agave, meaning the agave has its quiote cut off before it has a chance to flower, concentrating the plant's sugars in the pina and creating a sweeter, more floral spirit.

An aromatic, smoky Reposado mezcal from Amores that has been made with Espadin agave, creating notes of grapefruit, mango, wood smoke, garden herbs, peppery oak, orange and pink peppercorns throughout the palate.

A limited-edition artisanal Arroqueno mezcal from El Jolgorio, made using traditional methods. The palate offers notes of exotic fruits, garden herbs and soft smoke that linger in the finish.
