VintageArmagnac

Vintage Armagnacs are the result of a certain year’s grape harvest. Historically, all Armagnac was sold in this way, with the classifications such as VS, VSOP and XO being a relatively recent innovation.

The date displayed on a bottle of vintage Armagnac denotes the year the grapes were grown – distillation can take place up until 31 March of the following year. Many also carry a bottling date, allowing you to work out the approximate age of the Armagnac. Vintage Armagnacs are a great way to commemorate a birthday or anniversary, and are well priced when compared to vintage wines, whiskies or Cognacs of similar ages.
